Emilio began his coffee career back in 2001 when he founded Topeca Coffee Roasters while still being a college student at the University of Portland ,OR. He became a member of the
Roasters Guild in 2002 and has been an active member ever since. Based out of El Salvador, he now runs a full vertically-integrated business from seed to cup, with roasting, farming,
exporting, and importing operations out of Brazil, the United States, and El Salvador. With coffee running through his veins, he is a sixth generation producer devoted to the coffee
industry and the coffee community
Talor Browne is an Australian living in Oslo. Co-founder and head roaster of Talor&Jørgen and Fryd, she is an industry veteran with 16 years of experience in the Specialty industry. A Q-grader, pastry chef, coffee roaster and writer, she aims to take her experience working for some of the most respected companies on the globe to connect the broader market with higher quality and ethically produced coffee.
Isabela consistently breaks the mold on what’s possible. Coffee Lab has been named one of the Top Ten Cafes in the world, and the service is totally focused on the formation of the customer, with the space designed so no counter or walls ever separate the customer from areas of preparation and roasting. Isabela is a certified Q grader and SCAA Cupping Judge. Isabela has previously spoken at the 2015 Re:verb in Seoul, Korea, and hosted the 2015 Re:verb in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Joanna Alm is the managing director of Drop Coffee Roasters in Stockholm, Sweden and a big part of her daily job is being a head roaster and green coffee buyer for the company. Joanna is born in Dalarna, in Northern Sweden, but started working in specialty coffee in Oslo, Norway a decade ago. She has worked at Drop Coffee since 2010, where she started as a barista and later became a part owner. If you’re not familiar with Drop Coffee, you might recognize Joanna Alm’s participation in the World Coffee Roasting Championship: placing 3 rd (2014), 2 nd (2015) and 4 th (2016) in at the worlds.
