DNA CAFÉ 2018: TRENDS AND CHALLENGES FOR THE WORLD OF COFFEE
DNA Café is an international seminar about trends and challenges of the coffee industry. It is suitable for beginners, cooperatives, producers, roasters, coffee traders, cuppers/graders, entrepreneurs, business owners and baristas. The lectures are presented by well-known professionals of the industry and cover relevant content on coffee producing, certification, coffee grading and roasting, coffee shops, trends and business in the domestic and international market. All lectures count on simultaneous portuguese/english/portuguese interpretation.
Sustainable Coffee Forum
The forum gathers the most important professionals in the industry to discuss the actions taken in coffee-growing and the next steps for the sustainable development of the next generations. It takes place on November 9th in the Great Auditorium, and counts on 3 free-to-attend panels: “Social Sustainability in the Coffee Supply Chain” , “Fermenting innovation” and “Economical challenges with Environmental Responsibility”. The suitable for beginners, cooperatives, producers, agronomic engineers, agricultural technicians, agronomy students, roasters, coffee traders, graders, coffee shop owners and baristas.
This Coffee Shop holds events targeting the food service industry and features technical training for entrepreneurs and guidance for business planning. It also offers roasting and cupping courses, workshops with famous and respected Brazilian coffee professionals on how to set up a spotless coffee shop, and addresses different coffee preparation methods. It is recommended for beginners, coffee producers, roasters, coffee traders, graders/cuppers, entrepreneurs, coffee shop owners, baristas, bar and restaurant owners/managers and hotel managers. Cupping & Business Room
The Cupping & Business Room host cupping sessions with coffees of the current harvest, coming from all over Brazil, ready to be cupped by Brazilian and International buyers. It is recommended to cooperatives, producers, roasters, coffee traders, coffee shop owners, baristas and entrepreneurs. Register online in the event’s website to participate in the sessions. ESPAÇO CAFÉ + FORTE
The program has the purpose to transfer technology in general and costs management, improving management skills of the coffee growers in Minas Gerais. This initiative is developed and coordinated by the FAEMG system, and supported by Sicoob Crediminas
Approaching different subjects related to coffee roasting, from markets and trends to roasting profiles and curves, the Lab offers courses dedicated to producers, roasters, graders and baristas, presented by professionals of the industry. All courses have maximum capacity, and course prices vary according to the theme.
