The International Coffee Week (ICW) is a gathering of coffee growers, roasters, tasters, exporters, buyers, suppliers, entrepreneurs, baristas, coffee shop owners and enthusiasts. The event takes place in Belo Horizonte – capital of the largest coffee producing state in Brazil – and presents
to thousands of worldwide professionals, several actions in the areas of Market & Consumption,
Knowledge & Innovation and Business & Entrepreneurship.

4 World Championships for the first time

The International Coffee Week will host 4 international championships with competitors of over 40 nationalities and thousands of visitors. The World Latte Art Championship, the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, the World Brewers Cup and the World Cup Tasters Championship will be part of the official program in the ICW.

Production in Brazil is characterized by regional differences in soil, climate, and altitude which give the coffees their different hints of aromas and flavors. These differences are also notable in production systems with highly mechanized systems in some regions to others where coffee growing is predominantly family-oriented.
