Championships & Awards

Recognition and excellence in the sector
In addition to being a stage for business and knowledge, the International Coffee Week also celebrates quality, innovation, and talent across the coffee chain. The event’s calendar is marked by championships and awards that give visibility to professionals, brands, and initiatives transforming the market.
Highlights include the Brazilian Coffee Blends Championship, created by ABIC, which recognizes the best blends in the country, and the Golden Cup Brasil, an award dedicated to the best Fairtrade coffees.
The scene gains even more energy with the Brazilian Barista Championship, held by BSCA with support from Apex-Brasil. For three days, the public can watch baristas from across the country compete in competitions that involve preparing espressos, milkshakes, and signature beverages. The winner earns the right to represent Brazil in the world championship, which this year takes place in Milan, Italy.

Another significant event is the Florada Premiada Contest, an initiative by Grupo 3corações that recognizes microlots cultivated by women producers, offering visibility and strengthening female protagonism in coffee farming.
Design and innovation also have a place: the Espresso Design Contest highlights coffee packaging that best conveys experience and brand identity, while the Roasting of the Year Brazil competition, sponsored by Atilla, challenges roast masters to showcase quality and creativity in each sensory profile.
Bringing together professionals from different fields, the SIC Championships & Awards consolidate the event as a platform for recognition, inspiration, and encouragement of excellence throughout the coffee chain.
